Calling it a product that solves the evolving needs of users, Microsoft announced this week the launch of Bing.com. The platform put in place will basically help consumers make better decisions, with a new approach, on four main areas: making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business.
The man behind Bing.com is Qi Lu, a former head technologist at Yahoo. He was recruited by Microsoft with high hopes: with just 8% of U.S. searches, Microsoft has missed out on billions in potential revenues.
The platform will progressively be put in production in the coming days, until then, here’s a short video presentation of Bing.com.
